How to Fix

- If the lid light turns solid, the laptop should be fine.

- Hold the power button until the computer fully shuts off. NOTE: The screen should be completely black, and the lid light should remain constantly on.
- Turn the computer on normally.
How to Avoid
- When shutting down the laptop, only use the power menu in the upper-right side of the screen.
- In the pop-up window that appears, hit “Shutdown…”, and wait for the screen to go completely black.
- If the laptop is plugged into a charger at this time, the lid light will be constantly on.
- If the screen changes to a purple background and asks for a password, ignore it and wait for it to turn off completely!
