Troubleshooting Procedure
If the device is student-owned, any Out Of Warranty part replacements must be approved by the parent first.
UMC2 (Optional / Informational)
- Scan device Serial Number into UMC2
- Check for existing open ticket
- Open New Ticket if necessary, providing any issue details
- Check Warranty Status
Media Center
- Reinstall or update Ubermix (and BIOS if instructed to do so)
- Update Chrome and reinstall Secure Browser (if applicable)
- Inspect for external physical damage and enter applicable fines in Follett
- If device is insured have parents complete claim form for the damaged part, then submit insurance invoice via UMC2
- Verify functionality of ports and hardware
Student Tech Team
- Check internal cables and components for connectivity or damage
- Replace parts when necessary and possible
- Perform reinstall or update of Ubermix and/or BIOS when necessary

- Additional parts are listed on the Full List, accessible via the button at the bottom-left of the Part Costs list
- All Out of Warranty repairs are considered chargeable (excluding usual wear & tear, including Physical breaks and Liquid spills
