2-Step Verification

Enabling 2FA for your LVUSD Google account

  1. Visit the 2-Step Verification setup page
  2. Choose one of the available “Second steps” to configure, listed below in order of least secure to most
  3. “Phone number” is the easiest to setup quickly
  4. “Google prompt” requires you to be signed-in to the Google app on your mobile device
  5. “Authenticator” is our recommendation for most users
  6. “Passkeys and security keys” is the most secure
  7. Once at least one of the “Seconds steps” options is setup, return to the “2-Step Verification” page
  8. Refresh the page
  9. Scroll down and press the “Turn on 2-Step Verification” button

Authenticator App

  1. Open your smartphone’s app store (Android: Google Play Store / iPhone: Apple App Store)
  2. Search for “Google Authenticator”
  3. Install the Google Authenticator app (make sure it is the one published by Google LLC)
  4. Follow the “Set up Authenticator” instructions on the Authenticator Google Help page
